Behind the lens with Ashley..

i want to capture the raw beauty and emotion of living in the moment to stay with you for years to come.

I earned the nickname Snappy Bee after years of working in a grain elevator, drivers who had become friends were used to my snappy comebacks, funny jokes, and sassy remarks. I wasn't the Queen Bee of the office, I was the Snappy Bee. If that doesn't define my personality and the energy I carry into a session, I'm not sure what else does! I love to make clients comfortable and keep them laughing. It allows to get the most emotion filled candid shots that clients can be proud of, and at the end of the day, having a client proud of their photos is what is most important to me.

01.

Fact 1

I grew up around race tracks experiencing my first sprint car race at Knoxville Raceway when I was just two weeks old. I'm now the editor of a dirt track magazine, where I started as a writer (my other passion) and learned to become a photographer.

02.

Fact 2

I have an equine science degree and have worked and rode under horse trainers for nearly twenty years, ranging from cutting, barrel racing, to western pleasure and hunt seat. I showed western horsemanship in college and placed 8th in the nation.

Fact 3

My husband is my biggest supporter, from testing out photo ideas, to being the best photo assistant in posing horses and getting those ears up! He also shoots motorsports right along with me!

04.

Fact 4

After losing my heart horse in 2023, I realized I wanted to capture more than racing. I wanted to save every moment in photo - so when there is a loss, you have all the emotion of the good times to look back on.
